      The midbrain is part of the brainstem. Pathology of the midbrain results in conditions such as Parkinson's disease and Argyll Robertson pupil. Lesions to the brain stem results in midbrain syndromes including Weber’s Syndrome, Benedikt’s Syndrome and Parinaud Syndrome.
