For the liver, Obstruction of blood flow can be pre-hepatic, intra-hepatic or post-hepatic.
Post-hepatic obstruction of blood flow consists of 2 main entities; Hepatic vein thrombosis (aka Budd-Chiari Syndrome) and Veno-occlusive disease.
